The world is all a-twitter about twittering. Millions have joined the online community where “What are you Doing” is to be answered in 140 characters or less.
When you first check it out, the simple interface is like starring at a blank piece of paper. While you may be tempted to tweet something simple like “I’m new here, what do I do next?”…. resist that temptation. Doing so will result in a flock of twitter gurus who want to show you how to use it, how to build followers, blah, blah, blah…. and then the social media experts will find you. Of course, if you feel a need to learn from experts and gurus, go ahead and throw out the term “new” and see what happens.
On first appearance, it’s so simple that it’s confusing. But click around the links on your home page and you’ll start to get the gist of it. First thing is to go to settings and upload a pic of yourself as your avatar and write a clever 1 line bio.
